MONETA is a forty foot schooner, Built by David Hillyard in 1933 at his Little Hampton yard. Constructed of pitch pine planking on oak frames. Celtic Marine restored her at Deganwy between 1990 and 1993 using the West epoxy system. In her lifetime she has cruised far afield, to the Caribbean, Artic circle, at times experiencing Hurricane Force winds and huge seas, covering sometimes nearly 200miles in 24 hours. You will find that once you have been taught the correct principals for handling a boat in a confined space, that she handles just as easily as any other 40 footer, learn how to put her into that tight marina berth without bow thrusters, or the crew imitating Tarzan.
